My Baby Girl Aleena With Her Surgery Costs

Hi, my name is Shailee, a first time mother to a precious 5 month old baby girl Aleena. Aleena was born on the 30th of March 2022 with a syndrome called Polydactyl, which is where they are born with extra fingers or extra toes. In Aleena's case she was born with a extra big toe on each foot and 3 of her toes being fused together as 1 on each foot. Not only was Aleena born with Polydactyl, she also has a rare genetic disease called Sandal Gap, which is a widely gap between the big toe and second toe and the big toe is push out with a bend in it.

I have seeked so much medical help through all different specialists and doctors, in Mackay, Townsville and Brisbane but couldn't find anyone who is willing to help my baby girl.

Finally we have seen a light through the tunnel where we have found a Paediatric Surgeon in Brisbane for her to get the surgery she needs but we have had to go Private as no Public doctors are willing to help her.

I have thought long and hard on how to come up with the funds for her operation but it's hard enough already on us as my partner is the only one working hard to keep a roof over our heads and food in our tummies also we are trying to save every penny we have for this surgery to happen.

So I decided to try and reach out for help with a GoFundMe to try and raise funds to go towards helping our Beautiful Baby girl get the surgery she needs.
