My Battle for a Normal Life

Jennifer suffered an accident that almost ended her life while vacationing in Ibiza, Spain.
In the weeks leading up to the accident, she was so grateful that her best friend Tatiana gifted her with the trip of a lifetime through Spain.
She planned to tour both Ibiza and Barcelona but unfortunately, on the second day of her trip, Jennifer suffered a fall that left her in critical condition and broke 11 bones in her body.
She spent the next month in the intensive care unit of the hospital Can Misses Ibiza fighting to recover.
Jennifer's injuries include both her femurs and knee caps, which were broken and required surgery, internal bleeding, contusion to her liver and lung, extensive scalp trauma that required multiple repairs, a tracheotomy for her collapsed lung, five fractured vertebrae, a broken jaw, and a fractured sternum.
Jennifer has been moved to the neurology ward in Ibiza, and is undergoing physical therapy and treatments to regain as much mobility as possible.
While it is a painful process, Jennifer has made miraculous progress through determination and hard work. She can already bear weight on her legs and was able to take two steps with the support of the physical therapy team.
Our family is forever grateful for the love and support of countless family and friends that have kept us in their thoughts and prayers.
We consider the healthcare providers in Ibiza, our angels that tirelessly cared for Jennifer and her mother with constant kindness and compassion. We owe a special thanks to Maria Jesus, the manager of the Grand Palladium White Island Resort for her generosity and support during the darkest moments of our lives.
We thank God for his grace, his peace, and his constant presence throughout this ordeal.
