Here's a little bit about it and what they have to say.

We created Impact Ministries International (IMI) out of a strong desire to live out our faith in God and love for Jesus. In the early 2000s, during a visit to Honduras, homeless children and adults were looking through the garbage dumps for food to eat. This was horrific to see. We knew something needed to change, and we would commit to making that change. From that first house to care for the orphans and our first feeding program for the poor, we have continued to say yes we will help when things need to change.

In 2008, the financial crisis in the USA made us realize the risk of relying on donors. God gave us the idea to make all of our projects built with an income stream. Now each project (orphanage or safe house) is surrounded by agriculture or businesses that generate income. This “City of Refuge” transforms the community with job opportunities and access to affordable food, and is able to withstand future funding challenges. The goal is that everything will be completely self-sustaining.

Our first and largest “City of Refuge” is in Honduras. Now a massive city, the compound has an orphanage/boarding school that is supported by a large farm, stores, lodging, a medical clinic, and a trade school. IMI is an agricultural expert and local universities in Honduras are sending students to learn from IMI!

Doing God’s work in the world isn’t difficult. It just takes a step of faith. We want to see God doing that same great work using you. We also have a personal ministry to help encourage you to fully embrace God’s love and purpose for your life and to start changing your world. The Christian faith is about loving Jesus and loving people, and not ignoring the needs that are in front of us. That is what we are trying to do with IMI and all of our work. Our goal is to let people know that God loves them and that love will transform their lives.
