My beautiful cousin Debbie
Donation protected
Our dear cousin Debbie, who fought cancer for seven years, sadly lost her battle on May 31, 2022. She passed away at home surrounded by people who loved her. She leaves behind her husband Carl and four children, Dominic, Krista, Amalie and Andre, her mother Chris and brother Johnny.
Debbie was diagnosed with stage four metastatic breast cancer in 2015. She had a mastectomy and almost all her lymph nodes removed, causing severe lymphoedema. She was treated with the strongest chemo therapy available and radiation, which left her miraculously cancer free. After battling for years and beating breast cancer, they found tumors in her brain, requiring brain surgery, chemo and radiation again. After two surgeries, she was left with stroke like symptoms, but was miraculously cancer free....again. She was a fighter beyond belief! So strong, so hopeful, always laughing, and never let any of it get in her way. Unfortunately, what her body went through took a toll on her internal organs and it ultimately took her life. She just couldn't fight anymore.
Her family was right by her side through it all, struggling with the fear and emotional stress of losing her, and the financial instabiity from medical expenses and time away from work. Their house burned down and they lost everything they owned through all of this too. Carl, her husband, never left her side, worked hard to make ends meet, and now has to pick up the pieces and take care of his family, alone.
We miss Debbie so much and want to help this beautiful family in dire need. We hope you will find it in your heart to help them as well.
Soar high Debbie, with your dad, your brother Jimmy, aunt Judy, grandparents, aunts and uncles.
We can still hear your contagious laugh. We love you 'til infinity.
