My beautiful momma Rosa Rangel Tarazon

Hi, my name is Heather. My beautiful mom passed away of cancer on December 20th 2023. She suffered from strokes in 2012 and was later diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016. In 2020 she had a brain tumor removed and had multiple seizures. The cancer eventually spread to her hips and lungs.

In September 2023 she was placed on oxygen and I took time off work since then to take care of her because her doctor gave her less than 6 months to live. My mom had a passion for cooking, shopping at the Goodwill, and loved hosting family for the holidays. She made every holiday memorable and my friends often wished their moms were like her. Our bond was incredibly special. She was my best friend.

It is heartbreaking that she has passed away, but I find solace in knowing that she is no longer in pain and that she peacefully departed in her sleep. She is survived by 4 children and 11 grandchildren.
