My Climate Change Story - Cellphone Cinema

Want to join us in making a difference in Climate Change ? We are raising money to benefit International Assn of Women in Radio and Television- USA in “My Climate Story - Cellphone Cinema” initiative. Any donation will help make an impact on our global training.

IAWRT-USA launched the “My Climate Change Story: Cellphone Cinema” on 18th March at the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) where women from around the world converge at the UN HQ to discuss global issues through a gender lens.

It was followed with a panel of experts on Climate change on 3 May for Press Freedom Day.

Sierra Leone in sub-Saharan Africa, has been experiencing death and destruction during the rainy season because of mudslides, flooding and rising sea levels with no chance of recovery or returning to ’normal’ for the inhabitants who are now displaced.

IAWRT-USA is collaborating with Sierra Leone journalists and rural women to facilitate a boot-camp on October 10-13th 2022 in partnership with Katanya Women’s Development (KaWDA).

This initiative gained the interest of UNESCO, OsloMet, WINGS and Austin Airways, Texas.

IAWRT is a 501(c)3 non-for-profit organisation.
