Hello, my name is Samiksha Dhungana and me and my sisters are raising money to help my dad, Mahendra Dhungana, in his fight against skin cancer called malignant melanoma which is rare as it is inside nasal cavity.

In November 2022, my dad was diagnosed with this aggressive form of cancer in his nasal cavity. He underwent surgery, but unfortunately, the tumor grew back before the wound could heal. Family and friends suggested we go to Apollo Hospital, Delhi. Doctors suggested immunotherapy and chemotherapy, but since that type of immunotherapy is not available in Nepal, we had to opt for India for the treatment.

In the course of 1.5 years, we have already spent over Rs 1 crore on medical bills. We were fortunate enough to receive help from family and friends, but the financial burden has been overwhelming for our family. The immunotherapy sessions alone cost Rs 8-9 lakhs each, and he needs almost 10 of those as of now.

My dad is only 55 years old and is a father of four children. He also takes care of my grandparents, who are both over 90 years old. Two of my youngest siblings are still in school, and my dad is bearing their expenses as well. Despite his own health struggles, my dad is a generous human being who has always helped others in need in his community.

We are doing everything we can to help my dad fight this cancer, but we need your help. Any donation, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated and will go towards covering the cost of his medical treatment. Your donation will give us hope and help us keep fighting.
