My Dad is terminally ill so I’m helping my mom.

My father got diagnosed with cancer 4 years ago. The doctors were never able to find out what type of cancer he had, but he just got progressively worse. He is now in hospice and has been given about a week or less to live. My mom has taken her FMLA and her vacation time to be with him so she is fairly tapped out there. After he passes, I’ve set aside some money for her and will be taking her out of town on a trip to let her ‘get away’ but without his income/social security she will need some extra money to get on her feet and pay bills, until she can figure out her next steps in life. My parents got married when she was 18, so she’s just always been with him and doesn’t really know what to do moving forward. If you have extra money to donate to her to help out, it’s appreciated.
