My dad, Thomas Gombar

Hi, my name is Zoe Gombar, and I am making this gofundme to help my parents. My dad has been struggling with health issues since 2009. He was diagnosed with aplastic anemia, underwent two bone-marrow transplants and has been battling for his health ever since.

 

Recently he has been dealing with serious issues. Swelling, kidney, liver and abnormal heart function. In March of this year (2022), he was put into MIC (induced coma) to stop the bleeding in his lungs from collapsing. Causing him to leave his job and my mom to come aside and help him. She also had to give up many hours of work to do this. Due to the length of his being out of work, his health insurance was canceled. Leaving my parents with massive debt, without the option to go back to work, while continuing to take the right path towards recovery. He has to go back into intensive therapy to help him walk and breathe correctly without the assistance of oxygen. But this is extremely difficult to do without the aid of insurance.

 

This gofundme was the most practical thing I could think of, and I thank you all so much for taking the time to read his story and prayers. Any financial help would be a HUGE BLESSING. He's a fighter, and it is tough for my family to see him this way; we believe in his total recovery.
