My Dad with Stage 4 Lung Cancer

Hi, my name is Alyssa, and I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my dad (Erick) and my family. As some of you know, twenty-two months ago, my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer with metastasis to the Lymph and recently spread to the bone.

He has been so strong and has been going through chemotherapy treatments the entire time! We just found out that the chemotherapy is no longer working, and the Oncology team does not have many options to help him. They recommended that he look at clinical trials, which would be limited due to his inability to tolerate immunotherapy treatment options.

We are not giving up hope, but this is a significant setback. My dad was just placed in Hospice, and he wishes to stay at home. I wanted to say I HATE CANCER!!! Cancer has caused a lot of financial issues for my family, and unfortunately, my dad does not have life insurance. My dad is a fighter and will continue to fight, and we are praying for the miracle of time.

I do not want my dad to worry about the expenses, so we hope to raise money through GoFundMe to assist with medical costs. Even though we have health insurance, the out-of-pocket expenses, the supplies, and the cost of his medications that are not covered by the insurance are causing a financial burden on our family.
