My dad's emergency surgery

Hi close friends. Im usually, well im always very private when it comes to personal things and I hesitated to start this page. I asked myself the common questions of what will people think, how will people feel, and what if sharing my info ends up not being a cause people are willing to support?  well, the thing is that writing this is hard, but not writing it is harder because we need all the support we can get.
My beautiful dad who I love dearly has been diagnosed with a very agressive prostate cancer and he needs surgery asap and has been scheduled for this upcoming Monday. We just learned today that his insurance will not cover the surgeons fees as he is a private physician.  Eventhough he has reduced his fee significantly it is still a struggle to pay.
This is the best doctor, he is well known and we are sure is the best fit for my dad. I have spent my career and my life advocating for others and today I am advocating for myself and I ask that you please support me if you can so that we can afford for my dad to have this urgent surgery that he so desperately needs. We hope  that he can have access to quality care and not be confined to what his insurance will cover.
I only have one dad, and for him  I throw all privacy out the window, pride, and what ever else I may fear. Any one that knows him knows that he is the most positive, funny, and kind hearted human being out there.
Please help me help my dad, his surgery is scheduled for Monday the 28th.
