My Dad's Slackline and Aerial Chill Zone

Hello again art lovers and friends!

Thank you all so much for your support and contributions <3 Because of all your aid, we have been able to build and test out our slackline and aerial arts rig.

With all of your funding, we were able to achieve this dream and successfully built and tested our slackline and aerial chill zone!!! (See update for photos)

The beta build reached our estimated specs of 30' tall and ~165' long with areas for aerial silks and lyra rigs beneath each slackline anchor zone. The slackline zone itself is not only a great length for beginner walking but is also high enough for some epic freestyle flows!

Again, thank you because your support has allowed us to create something that has been a long-standing ambition for many of our members.

As the Burning Man days creep closer and closer, we feel driven to improve the safety of the structure, upgrade current designs, and transition from renting to owning many of the materials. This is why we are reaching out again to ask for support involving:

Hello fellow art lovers and friends!

This year at Burning Man, our camp "My Dad's House" will be creating a transportable slacklining/aerial arts rig!

The fantastic art piece will be 30 ft (10m) tall and over 165 ft long (50m), built using steel pipes and connections. This design will allow it to be recreated and reused for many future art and music events.

The completed build at the playa will be not only a highline art piece, but also a beginner slackline activity center and a rig for aerial silks, lyra, and spacenets. With an assortment of uses, we hope that this art piece will facilitate new experiences, connections, and physical artistic expression.

Any contribution to this project also contributes to the growth and awareness of highlining as a sport and art form.

Most of the basic supplies were acquired and the construction of this highline art piece has already begun! But there is still more to do to make this dream a full reality.

We have a few remaining expenses left and we could really use your help!

The remaining expenses will be for purchasing the anchor material and for additional materials needed in the main structure. This year we will use a combination of purchased and rented materials to figure out and establish the safest and most efficient build, but in future years, we will be working towards improving the design and owning all of the necessary equipment to reduce build time and cost. As we work toward our goals, we ask for your support in getting this structure from our brains to the playa :)
