My Dead Moms Cookbook

Hi everyone!

My name is Sarah Warren, and I have been creating a show called My Dead Mom’s Cookbook, a video series that’s as much about grief and comedy as it is about food. With the help of some incredibly talented comedians and friends, I am cooking my way through my late mother’s recipe book, sharing memories, laughter, and the kind of raw, honest conversations about loss that we don’t have often enough.

This project is about more and for more than just me. It’s for anyone who has ever set an extra place at the table for someone who isn’t there. Anyone who has ever kept a voicemail just to hear their loved one’s voice again. Anyone who knows that food is love, and losing someone doesn’t mean losing the connection. We all know that the feeling of losing someone you love is impossible to put into words, but sometimes, a taste, a smell, or a familiar dish brings them back even if only for a moment.

As much as I wanted to and would continue to try, I can’t do this alone. Bringing this series into reality means production, and takes resources. And that's why I'm asking for your help- whatever you might be able to give. The team that I am working with is incredible, and have already devoted more time and resources than I could ask for. I can't ask them to give anything more than they already have, and labor, filming, editing, and ingredients all need funding.
