Cecilia’s dream to receive a green card

I have faced barriers in Cecilia’s immigration situation. She is currently undocumented. It has been difficult for me lately because my wife and I are deaf. I was trying to get her a green card so she can live and work legally in the U.S. I have known her since we were kids in 1998, attending the Atlanta Area School for the Deaf. We started dating in 2012 and got married in 2016. We have a son who is hearing. It has been challenging for me to be the sole breadwinner, paying all the bills and rent by myself. Cecilia really wants to work and her dream is to become a stocker and work with deaf children. She loves working with kids and is a great mother to our son. She has a big heart for children. I want to help her achieve her dreams. I submitted my application for I-130 last year, and they will make their decision this year. I-601A is the biggest challenge for us because it takes about one to three years for them to make a decision on this application. If they approve the two step for I-601A, then she will receive a green card. My lawyer has advised me to undergo an evaluation waiver/hardship and seek counseling for my health, which I have completed. It cost me $950 to complete four counseling sessions and reports, which will be sent to my lawyer to support my I-601A application. We need to wait for USCIS to make a decision on the first step for I-130 approval before applying for the second step, I-601A. If you can, please consider supporting Cecilia.
