My family of four is facing homelessness

My name is Katie Richards, and the hopefully good end to this situation is coming, so I'm now going to change this to reflect it.

The catalyst to this was that my nana passed away on September 30th, 2022. She was my best friend and the glue that held my family together. I could go on for hours about her (I tend to) but I will refrain. When you're alive, you can pay on whatever you have all the time. You are here to do it. When she passed away, she could no longer pay for what she needed to, causing it to fall on her estate.

What has changed is that it's halfway good news. All that's left owed is city & county taxes on the house, and what's owed on the land. It's meant to be done by November 10th, 15 days from now. We don't quite have enough for all of it, but we believe it is doable, so I have lowered the goal by doing some math based on what we have and still need. The house will be sold if this is not done - there's already somebody who's desperate for it, and we'd rather not have this guy I've never met buy it. It feels like there has been no end in sight ever since I started this last year, and I'm looking forward to the end providing we can succeed.
