My family suffering during the war in Gaza
Donation protected
Hello ,
I am Maram Redwan from Gaza, and I am speaking to you with a heavy heart.
My story began in Gaza, where I live. Firstly, my father passed away in 2012 when I was 16. My mother raised us alone, being both our mom and dad. Then, the 2014 war happened. Our family house was destroyed, and we stayed in a school for 50 days. We rebuilt our house, making it more beautiful than before, but this beauty didn't last.
This recent war came and destroyed our house again, and my brothers lost their houses as well. At the beginning of the war, we left our home and stayed with my husband's relatives. Suddenly, their house was destroyed too. My husband Tariq, my three children Ahmed, Masa, Mays and I emerged from the rubble, terrified. My kids didn't understand what was happening and were extremely frightened.
We fled to a school that shelters displaced people. We slept 100 people to a classroom, and my kids were constantly sick because of the overcrowding. Infectious diseases spread rapidly. We stayed in the school for 100 days until leaflets were sent out, instructing us to evacuate. We passed through barriers in front of tanks with my three children.
For the fourth time, we were displaced and ended up in a tent on the beach with no food, no shelter, no clean water, no safety, and no healthcare. We left our home and lived as displaced people, moving from place to place in search of safety. We are struggling to survive amidst the chaos of war. The war has stopped our lives and shattered our dreams.
My husband has high blood pressure and severe back pain. We discovered that he has several kidney problems and needs lithotripsy. There is no possibility of receiving treatment in Gaza.
I need your help to gather the resources necessary to leave Gaza and start a new life. Your donations will help treat my husband and bring a smile to my children's faces, allowing them to return to school and continue their education. Your generosity can turn my children's dreams into reality.
Your contribution, no matter how small, will make a world of difference. Thank you for standing with us in compassion.
With regards,
Maram
