My name is Heather. Myself and my husband Michael Forbes are starting this fundraiser to help my Mother Mildred Belmonte with final arrangements and burial for Dad. As some of you know he was on dialysis for awhile and doing well. On Tuesday 12/19/23 he went in for his normal dialysis treatment but they could not run the machine due to several blood clots so he was sent to the ER. All vitals, ekg, ultrasounds looked good so he was scheduled to go into surgery (one he has had a few times) to clean out the port for the dialysis needle. He got up from surgery fine, walked around abit and talked to my Mother on the phone. When she left to go see him I got a call from the hospital saying that he coded and they are trying to get him back. My Mother and brother got there and the hospital tried life saving measures for almost an hour. He never came back. This was so unexpected and I know my Mother has her own serious health issues. I am hoping to help with this fundraiser to help with unexpected burial costs. I know its the holidays and money is tight with everyone but any amount will be loving appreciated.
