My first half-marathon supporting people living with MS

I’m doing my first ever half-marathon to support people with MS. They are absolute warriors, like my friend Jo (love you, mate!) Hoping to survive the run and show my admiration, love and support for people living with MS and their loved ones.

More information about MSWA: We provided education, information and support for people newly-diagnosed with MS and theirfamilies, through to specialist nursing, physiotherapy, counselling, occupational therapy, welfareassistance, in-home support and recreation and socialisation opportunities. During the lastfinancial year growth in member service hours was 12%.We also supported people with other neurological conditions; providing a range of supports andservices and loan equipment.We operated high-support accommodation facilities with 24 hour care in Fern River, Hamilton Hilland Treendale, as well as residential respite facilities in City Beach and Treendale. At MSWA we will be opening our new Client Services hub in Bunbury towards the end of 2016, and make plans to build a high support accommodation and service hub in northern suburbs.Also during the year Government ceded a Land in Shenton Park and currently making plans to build a high support accommodation facility.The cause and cure for MS is still unknown, but MSWA is the largest contributor to MS Researchin Australia. During the last financial year our research contribution was $2.2million and exceeded$1million for the fifth consecutive year.
