My friend, Amaal Almahmoud and her family

I'm reaching out in hopes that you can help my friend, Amaal, and her family.

I was introduced to Amaal in January through a photojournalist documenting the war. Sadly, our connection was grieving our young children.

The war destroyed everything in Amaal's life. Her family home which housed six families, was demolished. Her father, younger brother, the wife of her older brother, the wife of her second brother, along with her two nieces, her uncle, and his family, and sadly, Amaal's only son, Khaled age 7, perished in the rubble.

Amaal, her mother, sisters, and brothers, basically all of her remaining family, have sustained injuries that have now prevented them from moving normally.

They also lost their source of income, an internet network that provided services to the area was destroyed in the bombing of their home.

Amaal's remaining family has nowhere to shelter, and no source of income. Everything they had disappeared in a moment due to war, bombardment, and continuous destruction.

They are a closely-knit family dreaming of developing their projects, planning for the future, and living a life filled with love and peace. In an instant, their home was completely gone, turned into rubble and ashes, and with it, dreams ended. Not to mention the deep, devastating grief that Amaal and her family now live with every waking moment.
