Help Phoebe the travelling cat and her hu-mummy

Hi, my name is Amy and I'm fundraising for my friend, Heather also known to some as Abi, who is a disabled lady with multiple and complex health needs as the result of two nasty accidents one of which resulted in a brain injury. Heather has no family support whatsoever but is like a sister to me and unfortunately I haven't got enough money to help her. Hence me setting up this page for her. She has spent her whole life helping others whenever possible and done lots of charity work. She is a very a proud lady who is happy to give help whenever she can but hates asking for it.
Heather worked really hard for NHS supporting adults with complex learning disabilities which is how we met and then qualifing as a Physiotherapapist until the accident, when she was unfairly dismissed to avoid paying disability pension. This now brings to the story of why she now finds herself in need of money to firstly as a starting point repair the van she currently has, which looks to be in the region of £5000. Heather's cat @phoebethetravellingcat is constantly meowing and jumping in the van waiting to go somewhere, Phoebe loves to travel around and has even been to Europe. It's a sad sight to see her getting in the van and her confused little face as to why it's not moving.
A "friend” offered to do work on van because she seriously struggling financially and barely scraped together enough for the parts needed let alone extortionate garage fees on top, plus it’s impossible for her to phone garages due to the disability and even the few who have online contact options don’t bother replying.
Heather checked with him multiple times that he was 100% sure that knew what he was doing and reluctantly ordered the parts including multiple extra parts that where needed because he created extra work by not doing things logically. He not only didn’t fit the timing belt properly or turn it over manually to check it (like you are supposed to do) but he even re-fitted the old belt rather than the new one. She then got a friend who works for a National Breakdown company to check it over and he unfortunately confirmed that it’s stuffed the engine.
Having spoken to people on forums for the type of engine it is, it’s been confirmed that a new or second hand engine are needed as the damage is likely to be too extensive to repair.
Additionally, it’s an import vehicle so parts are hard to source and it’s not easy to work on. The cheapest second hand engines are going for £2000 plus with high mileage and no guarantee of how good they will be or new ones for £5000 plus due to the inaccessibility of the engine and garages extortionately high rates £2000-£3000 for fitting.
Evidentially Heather will require a newer suitably adapted van similar to the van in the photograph at some point but if we can get her back on the road for the time being just by repairing the van then I'm sure that this will help her on her way.
She has ongoing issues of neglect and discrimination by health and social are services, she has had repeated issues with noise from neighbours which make her condition even worse (sometimes totally unbearable). She is extremely suicidal due to lack of a life and was previously a very outgoing and active lady. I spend most of my time worrying about Heather and checking in to make sure she is okay. It's a real shame that 10 years ago I lived a litteral two minute walk from her house and left my car at her house as I did not have parking at my flat. I now live a good 50 miles away. If I'd of known that things were going to get so bad for her I would not have left.
She has lost the only bit of freedom she had left and cannot get to vital appointments.
I am so worried that I am going to lose another friend, but if anyone can please, please help. She is literally the best person I know and I cannot even imagine what my life would be like without her.
All my love and kindness.
