I have a friend and you do too. Her name is Nancy and she has terminal cancer. She is fighting for life and now to compound her struggles she has been without hot water for the last week and power and water both have given disconnect notices. THIS isn't elegant or designed to be persuasive this is a legitimate cry for help. The last 6 months of prescription medicine alone that insurance hasn't covered totals over $30k.
We need to get a hot water heater installed now. If you can help at all, even by forwarding this to someone else will make a difference. Don't set this aside for later.
