Fundraising for my friend Teri and her family in hard times.

Hi, my name is Helen and I am fundraising to help a wonderful lady called Teri Moroney who lives in Burnham-on-Sea in Somerset.

4 years ago, aged just 32, Teri lost her beloved husband to cancer, leaving her widowed with 3 young boys. Now aged 36, in November 2024 Teri was admitted to hospital where she ended up having 3 lots of open heart surgery , a collapsed lung, pneumonia, and getting a pacemaker. After spending 37 days away from her sons she was finally well enough to be allowed home just in time for Christmas.

Her Mum is a carer for her own son, Teri’s brother, as well as now helping Teri with the 3 boys since they lost their Daddy. They all live together.

Teri is self employed and had started her own business before her surgeries, and despite everything was back at work the beginning of February. She rents her shop premises and didn’t want to lose everything she has worked hard for. She just wanted to start some normality again . On Thursday Teri felt unwell and ended up back in hospital where she has now been diagnosed with endocarditis, a life threatening infection of the heart, and is facing more hospital time and a long recovery.

I would just like to raise as much money as possible to help Teri and her family get through these challenging times and look towards the future. She just needs a chance to get back on her feet again.
