Support needed for Blanka and Javier
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and kind strangers,
I’m reaching out today to ask for your support for an incredible woman and her 12-year-old son who are facing one of the most challenging times of their lives.
In July 2024, Blanka suffered severe second-degree burns across much of her body in a tragic accident. She spent two months in the hospital undergoing painful treatments and surgeries. Though she is now home, her road to recovery is far from over. Due to her injuries, she is unable to return to work.
As a single mother and a recent newcomer to Canada, Blanka has always been a hardworking, loving parent to her son, Javier. But now, without the ability to work, she’s struggling to cover basic living costs like rent, food, and medical expenses.
Her 12-year-old son, Javier , has also been deeply impacted by this. He used to love swimming at the local swim club, which brought him so much joy. Unfortunately, due to the financial strain caused by the accident, they can no longer afford his membership, taking away a beloved activity that provided him with an outlet and normalcy during these difficult times.
The funds raised will go directly to supporting Blanka and her son during her recovery. These donations will help cover:
• Rent and housing expenses
• Groceries and essentials
• Medical treatments and therapies
• School supplies and necessities for her son
• The possibility of allowing Javier to return to his swim club, giving him a sense of normalcy and joy once again
Your generosity, no matter how big or small, will make a world of difference for this small family as they navigate this long road to recovery. If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign with your friends and family would also be incredibly helpful.
Thank you for taking the time to read their story and for any help you can provide. Your kindness and support mean the world to Blanka and her son.
With gratitude,
Zuzana
