My Dublin Bay North General Election Campaign 2024
I will be contesting the next General Election as an Independent/Non-Party candidate in Dublin Bay North.
It has been an honour to represent so many communities across the constituency over the last ten years as a Dublin City Councillor: from Kilmore and Coolock, to Kilbarrack and Donaghmede, Darndale, Artane, Edenmore and everywhere in between, it has been a real privilege to get to know so many of you over that time as we campaigned together on a range of issues.
I want to play my part in fighting for and creating a fairer, more caring and inclusive society, a society in which the resources of the nation are put to use in meeting the needs of everyone living here, those of us born and bred and more recent arrivals to our shores too.
My ten years of political experience in the area has made one thing very clear to me:
In a country that is developed and very wealthy, far too many people are struggling because of the political decisions taken by Fianna Fail and Fine Gael at the national level to prioritize the interests of the well-heeled and rich over the needs of the rest of us.
I believe I can win a seat in Dublin Bay North but successful election campaigns cost a lot of money and whilst business and the more affluent sectors of society donate heavily to Fine Gael and Fianna Fail to further their interests, I rely solely on the kindness and generosity of good people, many of whom have little spare cash at the end of the week:
so whatever sum of money you could donate to my campaign will be massively appreciated, gratefully received and wisely spent on campaign posters and leaflets.
