My Golden Mia has cancer, any help is appreciated

Hi, I’m Evonne and this pretty face you see here is my heart dog, Mia.

I discovered in late September, a softball sized tumor on her left interior hind leg.

It appeared in less than a week out of nowhere, so obviously it scared the sh*t out of me. Several tests and biopsies later, I found out it was a soft tissue sarcoma, Stage 2 out of 3, with 3 being the worst.

Due to the placement of the tumor, the vet said best thing was to remove it. In doing so, we would need to do a complete chest to stomach to leg flap/skin graft. Otherwise, there would not be anywhere near enough skin to properly cover the wound and the surgery would fail.

It was a large tumor, and the surgery that should’ve taken about 2 1/2 hours, ended up taking over 5 due to complications with how deeply rooted it was, being wrapped around her femoral artery. So now, after all this: the original vet discovery appointment, bloodwork, biopsies, specialty surgeon, more tests and blood work, along with everything that comes after that.. all non generic, non insurance covered medicines and ongoing, follow up wound care 3 times a week for the unforeseeable future… we are scraping the bottom of the barrel and are asking for help through this platform.

I did not really want to do this, but my daughters talked me into making this GoFundMe and sharing it out there to see if anyone is willing to help me and my lovely Miss Mia. It would be appreciated more than you could ever realize. If you have ever had a Golden or any other fur baby at some point in your life, you know what they mean to us and our families.
