For 30 years, I begged doctors to listen.
Since childhood, I suffered from excruciating headaches, dizziness, burning nerve pain, muscle weakness, and episodes of complete exhaustion. I told doctor after doctor that something wasn’t right.
But every time, I was dismissed.
• “It’s just stress.”
• “You’re too young to be in that much pain.”
• “It’s normal for girls to have bad periods.”
I was told to take painkillers, drink water, and rest. For 30 years, no one ever looked deeper.
Then, at 30 years old, after decades of suffering, a doctor finally ordered an MRI—and that’s when they found them.
Multiple tumors. Growing in my brain and spine.
Tumors that had been there since birth.
For 30 years, no one checked. No one listened. No one cared. And now, my body is breaking down.
These tumors sit on the nerves that control my movement, balance, and hearing. They have already caused permanent nerve damage, chronic pain, mobility issues, and a stroke I didn’t even know I had.
Had doctors caught this sooner, I might not be in this position today. But now, I have to fight harder than ever to get the treatment I need before it’s too late.
What My Condition Does to Me – Past, Present & Future
Brain & Spine Tumors – The Silent Killers No One Found
Before Diagnosis:
• As a child, I suffered from chronic migraines, dizziness, and balance issues.
• I constantly felt off, weak, and out of sync with my own body.
• Doctors brushed it off as “growing pains” and “hormones.”
Now:
• These tumors are pressing on the nerves that control my mobility, balance, and hearing.
• I suffer from severe nerve pain, muscle weakness, and unpredictable dizziness.
• My legs don’t always respond correctly, making walking a struggle.
The Future If Left Untreated:
• If these tumors grow, they could cut off my ability to walk completely.
• They could lead to permanent paralysis, loss of motor function, or worse.
The Stroke I Didn’t Know I Had – And the One That Might Kill Me
Before Diagnosis:
• I often had sudden episodes of weakness, slurred speech, and brain fog.
• My arms would go numb randomly, and I’d lose my grip on objects.
• Doctors told me I was “too young for a stroke.”
Now:
• An MRI revealed that I had suffered a silent stroke sometime in the past.
• The damage is already done. My brain has scar tissue from where it happened.
• Doctors still don’t know why it happened.
The Future If Left Untreated:
• I am at high risk for another stroke, which could be catastrophic.
• The next one could leave me permanently disabled, unable to move or speak.
• It could be fatal.
Chronic, Debilitating Headaches – And Why No One Cared
Before Diagnosis:
• Since childhood, I suffered from blinding headaches that lasted for days.
• Some days, the pain was so bad I couldn’t open my eyes or move.
• Doctors told me it was dehydration, hormones, or stress.
Now:
• Some days, it feels like my skull is too small for my brain.
• The pressure builds until I can barely think, see straight, or function.
• My vision blurs, my ears ring, and I lose track of time.
The Future If Left Untreated:
• If the tumors continue pressing on my brain, the headaches will become unbearable.
• I could develop hydrocephalus (fluid buildup in the brain), leading to seizures or brain damage.
Nerve Damage & Mobility Issues – When My Own Body Betrays Me
Before Diagnosis:
• I always felt clumsy, weak, and slower than other kids.
• My arms and legs would go numb or give out unexpectedly.
• Doctors told me it was just growing pains.
Now:
• I walk with a limp. My legs don’t always respond the way they should.
• I feel sharp, stabbing nerve pain every day.
• Some mornings, my hands won’t grip objects correctly, like my body isn’t mine anymore.
The Future If Left Untreated:
• The nerve damage could become permanent, leading to complete loss of mobility.
• I may one day be completely unable to walk.
Reproductive Health Issues – The Pain They Ignored
Before Diagnosis:
• Since my teenage years, I had severe, uncontrollable periods that left me anemic and in extreme pain.
• I was in and out of the ER for uncontrollable bleeding and extreme cramping.
• Doctors told me it was normal.
Now:
• I still don’t have answers—fibroids? Endometriosis? No one checked.
• Last month, I had a life-threatening emergency that required immediate surgery.
• My body is still recovering from the trauma.

• More emergency surgeries.
• Potential loss of my ability to have children.
• Permanent damage to my reproductive organs.
