My Holistic Journey to Beat Breast Cancer!

Donation protected
Hi,

My name is Vanessa Waithe - Golland.

On the 19th January 2023 I was told those words that so many women dread "I'm sorry to say but you do have stage 2 Breast Cancer.

This came as an awful shock. As a health and fitness business owner, an advocate of healthy living, of regular exercise, of joyous and fullfilling living, as someone who takes a huge pride in eating organic food and drinking very clean water...how could this happen?

Not for one moment did I say "Why me?", more the shock that it had happened to me especially considering the lifestyle that I lead. Then I went digging deeper in to the why. As a teenager I developed many sebacious cysts in my chest region, attributed to high Oestrogen levels. Last year I also had to have a fibroid embolization to shrink painful fibroids in my uterus, again, another condition linked to high oestrogen levels. On top of this, in December 2022, I lost my beautiful mother after a 14 month battle with repeated strokes. The emotional link to cancer is just as strong as the genetic link and the combination of factors has sadly caused an environment fit for cancer to thrive. In the words of a great friend who is an award winning naturopath "This is something that was always going to happen".

Well it has happened, that time is now and I now have to deal with it. I consider myself one of the lucky ones as my cancer has been caught early at stage 2. Recent research from Cancer Research UK and NHS Digital suggests that many women are not as fortunate as they still are unaware of the signs and symptoms of breast cancer. In fact, it goes much wider than simply breast cancer. Ovarian, colon, prostate, uterine and small cell lung cancers are all much less likely to be detected early in the Black African Caribbean community. This is staggering and is apparently attributed to less awareness of signs and symptoms within the black community as well as higher levels of embarrassment, more fatalistic attitudes and apparently requiring more visits to see a GP before being referrred to see a specialist compared to other communities. Again, I was one of the very lucky ones. My local GP practice gave me an immediate referral to a specialist to get my lump checked.

This has to change. For so many years I've championed exercise, mindfullness, gratitude and healthy nutrition as a means to living a full and rewarding life. Now I'm making it my mission to try to help as many people as possible to look for early signs and symptoms, to get checked out early and seek help before it's too late.

Early detection with cancer is absolutely vital. We all only have one life and we owe it to ourselves and our loved ones to live it to the max whilst being the absolute best version of ourselves. Early detection can also prevent a host of invasive treatments that are advocated to treat cancer at later stages. Thus far, the Dr's have told me with a 37mm tumour (who we call "Lumpy"), you'll need 6 months of chemotherapy, followed by surgery, followed by more chemotherapy plus hormone therapy as your cancer has the HER2+ gene (which makes it spead at an alarmingly fast rate).

The chemotherapy will make me lose weight, temporarily lose my hair, destroy my GI tract and gut lining, loosen my teeth and the hormone therapy post surgery in Dr's words will "Most likely damage your heart". To me, this is completely unaccepatbale as I currently feel AWESOME and very much want to stay that way. Rather than accept this grim fate, I have been online and sought the help of some of the world's very best cancer practioners.

So far I've purchased an industrial grade slow juicer, I've purchased the "Square One" cancer programme from Chris Wark, I've bought consultation time with Paul Leendertse from the Cancer Root Cause protocol programme as well as investing heavily in to a huge array of supplements from Oestrogen blockers (which starve the tumour) to vitamin supplements to boost my immune system and my body's ability to fight the cancer. Every day I go in to the sauna blanket to detox, I'm drinking 64 fluid ounces of carrot juice (from 5kg of organic carrots) with ginger, garlic, turmeric and lime, I'm meditating and practicing mindfullness, body brushing as well as eating 3 portions of cruciferous veg each day and removing toxicity from my world. None of this is either easy, nor is it inexpensive but my Love for life has led me to do my research.

So why am I aksing for help? Why am I asking for financial assistance and what will I offer in exchange? Well, simply put...I want to truly explore all holistic options before considering chemotherapy. I Love my life, I Love my boys (Husband and Son), I Love having energy, I Love my crazy Mohawk hairstyle...In short I LOVE MY LIFE AS IT IS AND DON'T WANT TO LOSE WHAT I HAVE without at least trying alternative routes. I'm well aware that at some stage I may well have to have chemptherapy and the physical consequences of the treatment, but right now as I sit and type this message...I'm simply not ready to lose what I have. I feel Loved, I feel empowered and beautiful and Love my life as it is and I'm doing absolutely everything I can do to keep it this way.

Currently my supplements and nutrition alone are costing around £1,200 per month! For this to continue, I desperately need your help.

What will I do in exchange for your help? Well, what I plan to do is to launch a You Tube channel dedicated to my journey. Dedicated to the holistic practices and treatments that I'm having and what each treatement is doing to help me. Please understand, this is not in any way, shape or form an attempt to discredit or bring down the medical profession, nor to dispute the great work done by researchers or pharmaceutical companies. This is simply my attempt to do things MY way, a way which very few people dare to go. A way which holistically combines the very best supplemetation and holistic practices with the very best medical minds that our great health service has to offer.

Getting this out to people with my message of early detection is my way of making good of this situation. I'm not one to play the race card, I never have been as I honestly feel that we are all one race of beautiful people, however, if I can help all communities in some small way to look out for sign and symptoms, to get checked out, or even to go for regular health screening as part of everyday life then I feel that my cancer will have been justified.

Instead of "Why Me?", I'm thinking "Why Not Me?"

Any help you can offer me I promise to give back in Love and devotion to my cause. Please help me on my journey to help others whilst I fight my own personal battle in the way that my soul feels is right...with Love!

Many thanks for reading, Love to all,
