My homeless brother needs teeth
Donation protected
*****Update****
We thank everyone who donated last time we posted this. If anyone still wants to donate he still needs the help. We have finally moved him home with our mom and we are starting the new teeth process. However, he has no credit and new teeth are so very expensive. Prayer's and thank you's to all of you reading this!
This is Tim. He's my homeless brother who lives in Salt Lake City, Utah at a homeless shelter. Tim's life began, like most, with a promising career after graduating with a masters degree in instrumental physics. As a young man, he began to struggle tremendously with mental health issues, ultimately ending up diagnosed with Bi-Polar Disorder. This is where the downfall of the promise in his life began. His young marriage with three children became very difficult with his mental challenges. He spent many years attempting to work through it with many medications and therapy, but as many of us all know with mental health care at it's lowest level of support, his frustrations led to alcoholism and other methods of trying to self medicate and bury the hurting. His marriage ended, he could no longer work, and he ended up on the streets with no hope to regain normalcy in his life. As his sister, all of his family including myself, have spent countless dollars and years working to help him regain stability and his health. Throughout this process of his health degrading, he has experienced two heart attacks, a stroke, and the hard effects of the medications have caused such bad dry mouth and teeth grinding, that he has lost ALL of his teeth. He now lives on the streets, and struggles to eat food at all, having to gum everything. The plea in this gofundme is to help Tim have oral surgery and some new teeth. His life is hard. Mental health is a robber. If we could give him back his mental success, we would do everything we could, but we can't, so our goal is to try to do what we can to make the quality of his life just a little better. If you know someone who has struggled with mental health issues and you know how hard it is for them, we would love and appreciate any help you are willing to give toward Tim's teeth, it would be a great blessing for him, and a step toward a better existence for him- we especially love and appreciate prayers! May we all look to help those we can, when we can.
