My Husband, A U.S. Veteran, detained by ICE
Donation protected
On, March 18th, my husband was removed from our front porch by ICE agents. Now here's the kicker, my husband is a veteran of the US NAVY and ARMY. He came to this country in 1983, LEGALLY! He has a Green Card! However he could possibly be deported for a conviction 13 years ago. My husband was good enough to go to war for this country and earn a bronze star, but not good enough to be granted citizenship! Here's an update on his case. I had to hire one legal team to process his Naturalization, thank you all for your contributions because that allowed me to pay them in full. He went to court today and I now have less than 2 weeks to hire another legal team to dispute the criminal charges brought against him in 2007.
Reopening an old case takes a lot of work, and it's expensive. This is why I am asking for your financial support again. Your contribution can help get my family back together again. Since he's been detained, Bobby has supported other detainees by helping them write letters and fill out forms. He also testified, on behalf of the SPLC, against ICE in Irwin county, GA and his testimony helped improve living conditions in that facility. While the government is working against him, my husband still stands for those who cannot stand for themselves.
We are all going through some challenging times right now, so I give thanks for each and every one of you who is still willing to help me. I thank you for every prayer and all kind thoughts. Thank you! #blacklivesmatter #veteranlivesmatter #veteransgettingdeported
