My husband Steve needs stem cell help.
Donation protected
Hello, My name is Nikki and I am Steve's wife of 11 years. We met back in 2009 and have been inseparable since. I love my husband so so very much and watching him in pain constantly is horrible, all I want to do is take his pain away, but I can't. Steve's story started around 8 years old when he started showing symptoms. By age 9 he was officially diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome. Following consultation with a neurologist , he was given a variety of medications that didn't help him, they actually made his life harder. He was tired all day to the extent of falling asleep in school to losing jobs. Tourette syndrome in most cases tends to diminish with age, in Steve's case, his got worse. In 2017 he had surgery to fuse part of his neck that was damaged due to his tics. The healing process for him was long and very difficult. Now, years later he is struggling more than ever. The nerve damage has caused him to not be able to lift his arms from the shoulders, everyday things we take for granted like lifting a gallon of milk to put it in the fridge, is something he struggles with.
I truly believe stem cells will help him, maybe not heal him, but help him get back some function that he needs, and nerves repaired. If you can't donate, Please just pray for him anyway. God is good all the time, and all the time God is good.
Now please let me explain something in case you aren't sure what Tourette's actually is. It's an involuntary movement and/or noise (know as a tic) that you can't control, your body just does it. Something in the brain misfires and sends wrong signals to different parts of your body. For anymore information on Tourette syndrome please go to https://tourette.org.
