My iPad is Dying, I could Use Some Help!

I'll admit I feel bad askin for help on this one, but my friends convinced me to give it a go. I know to most an iPad would be a luxury item, but it is more of an emergency than it sounds for me. My ipad is how I pay all my bills, and create all my work, and mine is currently corrupting files as fast as i can make them.

So What's Goin On, Exactly?

For around 6 months, my iPad has been running into some bottlenecks with performance and storage, and without getting into too much of the details, there's no efficient way for me to back up my art in an easily recoverable way. After its 8 years of service, this tablet is struggling to keep up. This was all fine, honestly, I was just limping it along trying to save up slowly to replace it, but in the last month or so things have gotten a bit dire.

As you can see in the screencap I sketched over, my art files have begun randomly corrupting at an alarming rate. I've already updated the OS, I've updated Procreate, and I tried a hard reset.....But that got it trapped in a boot loop for days until I was able to recover it with iTunes. Terrifying, frankly. I've tried everything safe and even some risky things to try and prevent the issue, but it's getting worse, not better.

At this point my art files are corrupting before my very eyes, one right as I was working on stream yesterday. I've lost 6 commission files in the last 2 weeks alone (that I now have to work from layer-less WIP Screencaps to finish them), and I just can't put off this upgrade any longer.

Why do I need Donations?

As embarrassing as it is to admit, this has been a very rough year for me. Between taxes slamming me harder than ever, trying to keep up with treating a chronic medical issue (that I've been fighting since January), and family health issues, I just need help to make this upgrade. I work month to month, and a purchase this big is really difficult for me to make rn, even when it is this important.

Every bit helps, even just a couple of dollars here and there! I appreciate every donation and every boost. <3 Y'all's support means so much to me, and hopefully with a new iPad I can stop fighting these issues and not only catch up easier but be able to create even more work!

What am I Saving for, and Why?

Right now I am saving for a 2022 iPad Pro 12.9" w/ 1TB of storage. The retail of this tablet is a little over $2000USD, and while I don't expect to get quite that high on this fundraiser, literally every dollar counts!

Why this model? For the last 8 years I've been using a gen 1 iPad Pro, with the smallest storage (64bg) and the smallest screen. It has worked well for me, but rather than buy another small cheaper one, if I'm going to all the trouble to save for a new one, I'd like to get one with better specs that will (hopefully) last me even longer than this one has! The 1TB and bigger models have double the RAM, and that should help me with projects like my recent animations! THis upgrade isn't something I'm taking lightly, I have productivity and longevity in mind with my model choice!
