Frederick’s Journey To The End Zone

Donation protected
On September 13, 2023, during his first and highly anticipated Junior Varsity football game, Frederick “Cheeks” Climpson, who played for Homestead Senior High School, scored his first touchdown against Palmetto Senior High School. It was later on in the game during the third quarter, that Frederick experienced a devastating neck and spinal cord injury as a result of a direct head-on collision while playing as a defensive player against his opponent. Frederick is 15 years old and suddenly has a challenging journey ahead of him.

He is an exceptional student, a wonderful son, brother, cousin, and friend. Frederick never ceases to amaze me with his easy going personality, his role as a peacemaker, and his overall attentive nature. Football has always been his passion, and was the underlying reason he remained enthusiastic about playing, discussing, and watching the sport; he never missed the opportunity to coach his little brothers and cousins when needed.

As the big sister of Frederick I wanted to share with you who he is, and although he will always have the love and support of his family, his recovery process along with medical bills, rehabilitation, and long-term care will exceed what any of us can afford. Your contributions, be it big, small, or simply passing on his story will make a significant difference in the quality of his life moving forward. Thank you in advance for your support and generosity.
