Help my family survive the war and reach safety

Dear compassionate souls:

I am Maryam Ayyad from Gaza

I come to you today as a mother from Gaza, reaching out to you with despair and hope. My suffering is enormous, and although resorting to fundraising is painful, it is now my only option to save our lives.

We have suffered a lot since 2005, when my brother was martyred at the hands of the Israeli army, and then in the 2014 war, we were displaced from our home to another place due to the Israeli military vehicles’ invasion of the neighborhood in which we live (Al-Shuja’iya neighborhood). At that time, my family was targeted when they fled in the street, and my nephew and her husband were martyred, and my cousin was martyred. also .

Now, because of this war, Me & my husband, and my five children were forced to evacuate from Gaza to Deir al-Balah in search of safety that doesn't exist.

When the war started, we hoped to return home after it ended, but eight months later, our house was completely destroyed.

My husband lost his job and our only source of income disappeared. We are now homeless, living on the streets, and facing a harsh reality with no shelter, no food, and no security in southern Gaza.

Lack of proper nutrition has weakened my children's immune systems.

Now my husband, who has eye problems and needs an operation as soon as possible, is struggling to perform basic tasks like carrying water or collecting firewood for cooking.

I started this fundraiser to ask for your support to ensure that my children receive temporary housing, food, medical care, and continue their education.

The psychological impact on my other children is profound, as they face a future devoid of hope.

Our goal is to raise enough funds for evacuation through the Rafah/Egypt crossing, which currently requires $5,000 per person.

This is our only chance to survive. Every donation, no matter the size, will profoundly impact our ability to overcome this devastation.

I am a mother of five children: Suhaib, Abdel Rahman, Hoor, Masa and Jannah.

They had a dream but their dream did not come true. Their dreams and promising future were shattered after the occupation destroyed our house, including the playroom, which was filled with their toys. However, they still have a dream. They all have a simple dream, which is to live safely like any child in the world, without fear of bombing.

Suhaib and Abdul Rahman want to go back to school and play with their friends.

As for Hoor, she misses her kindergarten, her friends, her toys, and her beautiful clothes. She wants to play with her toys that were destroyed by the occupation bombing of our house.

Masa is a very young child, only 3 years old. Why she live in this fear with every bombing?

As for Jannah, it was born in this war and was born to the sounds of bombing.

We are now displaced in the south and live in very difficult living and health conditions. We have no necessities for life: no home, no food, no water, no medicine.

What is the fault of my children, the occupation destroyed their home, their dreams, and their memories? Even their school notebooks were torn up, and their toys were blown away.
