My 19 year old little sister Julia Zukowski has unfortunately got news that her Mother Theresa Zukowski unexpectedly passed away on August 2nd 2018 due to Heart complications. Theresa had no insurance, will, or estate. Theresa had left my little sister as her next of kin. Julia is now financially responsible for any type of closure for funeral or a cremation. Julia is only 19 years old and in 8 days she is heading back to Coastal Carolina university for her second year of college. The coroner's office gave us till Friday to come up with the money for her remains. Please please please help if you can in any kind of way so my little sister can get closure of her mother passing. No 19 year old heading back to college who was also on the Dean's list should have this burden. Julia has no idea how to plan a funeral, let alone how much it will cost, but I do know that she needs help. She is lost and if anyone can find it in their heart to help send her mom off, I will forever be grateful.
Theresa Zukowski, age 54, died at Edinboro Manor on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 4:07 p.m. from heart complications.
She was born on July 29, 1964 in Erie. Theresa was a member of the Mercy Center for Women. She was the very first alumnae in the year 1997 for the Mercy Center where she obtained her bachelor's degree in Social Work.
Theresa was preceded in death by her mother Karen Zukowski-Bentz, her father Thaddeus Zukowski, and a brother Patrick Zukowski. She is survived by her sister Melissa Carlson Bucci and a nephew Damian Carlson. Theresa is also survived by her two children; Mark Zukowski and Julia Rose Zukowski and two grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Halynn and Kompton Zukowski.
Friends and family are welcome to the Belle Valley Presbyterian Church, 1694 Norcross Rd. on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 service with family is at 6 then service at 6:30 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Schell officiating. Private interment.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are welcome to a "Go Fund" account for the family on Facebook to help with expenses. The Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. is handling arrangements.
