My little brother, Desmond A. Blue

Dear friends and family,

Our beloved Desmond (Dessie/Des) unexpectedly and suddenly passed on the morning of 4 July 2022. Desmond was a young and creative soul who dedicated his life to making those around him smile and laugh. His high energy and “spunky” personality permeated through every life encounter he made and touched the lives of those surrounding him. He is survived by his mother (Pamela), father (Kenneth), four older brothers (Robert, Jonathan, Kevin, and Donovan), two older sisters (Chelsey and Jessica), and many other friends and family members.

Desmond dedicated his life to challenging himself to accomplish various tasks, such as obtaining his CDL and driving across the United States on his “Big Rig”. Despite multiple adversities, Desmond was determined to graduate high school and attend community college. He enjoyed manual labor and utilized his skills to help community members with campus and lawn beautification projects. As a young man, Desmond was determined to “fix things” and would spend hours reconstructing bicycles and skateboards until they were “absolutely perfect”. This is what made him unique: his drive and determination.

We are absolutely devastated by Desmond’s passing; however, we know he is no longer suffering or in pain.
