My little brother’s nuss surgery gone wrong

My name is Julia and I am Noel's older sister. Noel was born with Pectus excavatum, which causes the breastbone to sink into the chest. My brother has been very unwell for a long time and had low self-confidence because of this.

Today, Noel is 16 years old and would finally have to do a surgery to fix this. But the operation went wrong and the surgeons accidentally damaged his heart so the whole operation had to be canceled and the focus went on saving his heart. This was supposed to be the safest and most tested method of this type of operation and the chance of something going wrong was one in ten thousand. Noel woke up to hear the bad news. Noel's sternum is not fixed and instead he has a large scar across his chest, a damaged heart and is in so much pain.

I want to give my little brother justice. Nothing can make up to what Noel has been through but with this money I can give him what he needs in this tough time of recovery and rehabilitation to go back to a normal life again. And in a couple of years we can test a new method to fix Noel's Pectus excavatum and give him the results he deserves.
