My little man Budz McKenzie

Donation protected
Hello everyone, my name is Mike and I am fundraising for my little partner in crime, ride or die, the little heartbreaker, and my little man Budz McKenzie.
short background-
he was a pound puppy that I picked up over twelve years ago as I have always had a dog. Though I always had big dogs, my complex wouldn’t allow a large dog and there was just something about this little guy. He turned out to be the best dog I ever had. Always by my side, always scouted the trails ahead to look for danger (also to get there before dad), by my side in my hard times and enjoyed all the good times with me as well. He lasted through three ex girlfriends and brought me back through each of them. Whether he was off chasing squirrels or deer, making new friends with horses or having standoffs with geese, he was the biggest little dog ever and my best friend. When I went to rehab 9 months ago for alcoholism, I had him stay with my grandparents and their two dogs who he knew very well and loved them both. During my month at rehab, Budz unfortunately suffered some health issues just before I got out. At the vet, we found out that he had congestive heart failure and were told he had 7 months to live with meds. As he was a stray, the vet believes it was poor genetics from the parents. From that moment on I made sure he had more of a luxury life than he already had. All meals were wet food not mixed dry, he got to be outside all day in the sun rather than a few hours, he went to his favorite hiking trail (very light walking) as much as we could be there, toys everywhere. Though, even with the medication, he still had three episodes in which he had to be rushed to the emergency room. When he came home, he was still trying to be the amazing little man he always was, like it was simply a bump in the road. Sadly, as the doctors predicted, my little man passed away one night after yet another episode. As he was always by my side in life, I had him cremated so he can be right by my side in death as well.
(I have an urn necklace that I wear 24/7)
As I continue to remember the wonderful times I had with my pet, I am now saddled with immense debt that I was not ready for.
I am willing to pay anything to ensure my pets are happy and healthy, but as I had successfully left rehab, I had no way of paying this debt due to my alcoholic tendencies.

As I hope there are those out there who feel that our pets are family even at the end, I humbly and from the bottom of my heart say that anything helps.

i would like to enjoy the memory of my little man Budz McKenzie and all his amazingness without the constant monthly reminder of debt.

Please and thank you to all who at least read this story. He will live in your minds as well as mine.
