My Liver donation to Mom ... An extra 9 months
Donation protected

Update - JUNE 5, 2023
As of May 26, 2023, my mother is no longer suffering. She is at peace inside and out... The biggest smile of all the angels up there
My mom suffered stage 4 cancer for 9 years. 9 months ago she received 2/3 of my liver. The right lobe. Yes, .... I am sad that it didn't work out differently and I'm pretty heartbroken that she's not here to sit by my side and hug and laugh with and chat with on the phone...... But you have your own journey and I'm feel so blessed to have been a part of it.
I will forever be a part of you and you a part of me... I'm very blessed to have the extra 9 months with you. We all are. I love you so much Mom ☀️
Thank you SO MUCH everyone for your love and support through this last year. We couldn't have done it without you. Thank you for your blessings.
Now I just have to catch up on the most intense year of my life... And figure out how I'm going to light my internal fire ... & play music again. My mom was my biggest fan. The reason I started playing guitar and the reason I started singing... I'm pretty empty inside honestly
Thank you for hearing me out and once again THANK YOU FOR YOUR LOVE AND SUPPORT

Miss you mom

I'm going to start out by thanking everyone who has taken the time to look at this. I was born and raised in Montana and I have been a carpenter for the last 21 years. I work very hard and do what I can to help people out.... I have 2 beautiful kiddos, 6&8, and a very loving supportive husband who are my world...
My mom got me a guitar about 4 years ago... It was an outlet for my emotions with a sick dying mother and has turned into a deep passion for me. I use my singing and my guitar where I can to help those emotionally and bring peace and enjoyment to those who need it.
My mom has been sick with stage 4 cancer for 8 years now. She was given 6 months to live 8 years ago, she wasn't even supposed to meet my daughter, who is now 6. 8 years later we are very blessed to still have her in our lives.
At Christmas 2021 she was given till the summer of 2022 to live and a month ago she qualified for a liver transplant.
The same day I found that out I went and had my blood tested and it turns out after all the testing at Bozeman Deaconess and also down in Salt Lake City, I am a pretty perfect match for my mom....
The transplant will be held August 30th in Salt Lake City where she will be receiving 2/3 of my liver.
There will be a pretty serious recovery time for me and my mother.
It will take about 6 to 8 weeks for both sections of the liver to regenerate to full size.
I will need to stay in Salt Lake for about 3 weeks with a 24-hour caregiver and then on top of that I will miss about 3 months of construction work recovering.
My mom will be in the hospital for about 3 weeks in Salt Lake City and then another 3 months housed down there with a 24-hour caregiver.
Her health insurance covers must of her medical expenses and all of mine.
The lost wages is what I'm mainly concerned about. My energy level from growing the 2/3 of my liver back will be very low and I won't be able to do much of anything especially construction for about 3 months. I've worked very hard my whole life and always held up a job and it's going to be tough not bringing in income. But I have to rest my body so it regenerates my liver....
I'm only asking those who have the ability to give and the heart to want to help a small town Montana girl out. Please don't donate if you are struggling yourself. Life is tough these days and it's hard to ask for help, but sometimes it's necessary. Sometimes we have to drop our pride and ask for assistance in times when our health is of concern.
My mom has a separate fund set up. Please share with her if possibe.
Please Copy and Paste to support her recovery in Salt Lake City.
