Hi, my name is Katelyn and I’m setting this up for my mom Mary. Some of you may know she was diagnosed with MDS-blood cancer (Myelodysplastic syndromes) last November. She went right to work with the recommended treatment to give herself the best chance to beat the cancer. She did round after round of chemotherapy to get ready for the transplant. Currently she is recovering from the bone marrow transplant. The next 100 days are extremely crucial. She will need 24/7 care. Having a someone to be with her around the clock to help care for her and incase her body crashes (rejects the transplant). In that case she needs to be rushed to the hospital, which is why they say we need to be as close to the cancer hospital as possible. As well as to attend quite a few appointments each week.
