My Medical Mission in Nigeria
Donation protected
Hi everyone, in October I will be traveling to Nigeria to participate in my first medical mission.
Alongside a team of medical professionals and the VOOM foundation I will help provide care for children receiving open-heart surgery. I am very excited to be able to have this opportunity and to provide assistance to children in need. The team will also utilize our expertise to train and educate the local cardiac staff at the Dame Irene Okwuosa Memorial Hospital in Nigeria. We will focus our care on underserved children who cannot afford the high cost of open-heart surgery.
Although there are many expenses that come with a medical mission, I am responsible for my airfare and some miscellaneous costs. These costs include my visa to enter the country, necessary vaccines and supplies to bring that may not be available to me in Nigeria.
All donations will be used for these costs, any funds left over will be used for extra supplies that are suggested to us to bring or will be donated to the VOOM foundation for future missions.
Thank you so much for your support and generosity
