S-MILES for MAGGIE’S
In January of this year my daughter Ali was diagnosed with a Ewing’s Sarcoma - in layman’s terms this is a very rare bone cancer.
Whilst it was devastating to hear, it was also a relief that we finally knew what was causing her so much pain! ...and our amazing doctors know how to fix her!!!
If you know Ali even a little you’ll know that she’s the most positive and accepting human on this earth! Although life’s on hold for her at the moment it won’t be long before she’s wandering and wonderingagain! Before that she has many weeks of treatment and an operation to get through.
The Maggie’s Centre in Manchester provides emotional and practical support for people experiencing cancer including family and friends. Maggie’s has been a wonderful quiet space for me to relax whilst I’m waiting but I also wanted to make better use of my time! Since John Lewis is closed ♀️ I’ve decided to spend my time training for The London Landmarks Half Marathon in August.
Thank you so much for your support, your donation means the world to Ali and me and our families but knowing other people at Maggies will benefit makes it all worthwhile .
I am sure there will be a few more tears along this journey but we hope they are also diluted with S-MILES❣️
Thanks for reading S-miles for Maggie’s.
