My Mom - Melissa (Missy) Smith

My mom (Missy) passed away yesterday at the young age of 52. Pneumonia engulfed her lungs, poisoned her heart, and took away her last breath. My mom has left this world. I am her only child, and I have my young daughter (Missy's granddaughter). My heart aches to think of so many things my mom will miss, both in my and my daughter's life. Missy had a wonderfully free spirit and a passion for family. At 52, my mom was healthy and vibrant, and at times stern about doing the right thing. She has worked really hard her entire life. She recently finished her education and training and began her new job as a Licensed Insurance Agent. Mom was excited to start this new career. I have so little now to pass along to generations, and for what small future gatherings we may have, there is no doubt that her memory will now be our fire-side stories.

Sadly, her untimely passing presents some mountains to climb. I am asking for help to pay for my mother's funeral costs. I am not certain how much it will be, but I am hoping I can raise this amount. It's a very hard time for me and my little girl, and I hope that I can one day explain why all of this is happening at such an early time in her life. I guess we are not all meant to understand the big picture, but I don't think I could have ever prepared for such a loss. My sincere thanks and appreciation for any help and words of comfort.
