My mom was paralyzed in an accident

Hi I’m Nikki. I’m fundraising for my mom Sue. She was hit by a car while walking down the street. She is now paralyzed. She hasn’t eaten in almost 2 months. It’s urgent she get help. The human body cannot go this many weeks without food let alone a person who is confined to a wheelchair and can’t move without assistance. My family is doing all we can but she’s lost 5 pounds a week and we have to get her the medical treatment which can save her. Each day that passes is getting more difficult. Her health has declined from not eating. 2 months the body starts to shut down. We have to transport her asap and it will require medical professionals since she cannot move on her own and she’s in a wheelchair. I’m here alone helping her at the facility but she can’t lose anymore weight. She’s too young to just give up. She is the nicest soul on earth and would rather stop eating than be a burden to anyone. It costs $8,000 to transfer her and $8,000 per month for a care facility where we can get her treatment to rehabilitate her. They require 6 months before any insurance. Spinal surgery can help her walk again but she has to be strong enough to withstand it and right now she can barely move. It’s heartbreaking this happened from a hit and run. She is an amazing artist, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She lost her son, my brother Eoun due to a car accident so this is very hard on her. Where she is there hasn’t been physical therapy or emotional therapy. She’s in a very small town in Texas and no family down here. It is possible we can get her nobility back with a medical procedure. It is not covered by insurance. None of the costs associated are covered. She needs specialists and to be near her family. Please whatever you can do to help so we can transport her and get her the medical help and treatments that can save her. Her kids, grandkids and great grandkids are all worried. Being close can help her condition dramatically because now she is far away from her entire family.
