Honoring My Mother, Patricia Ann Prestwood

Dear friends,

During this deeply challenging time, my family and I have been uplifted by your continuous prayers, thoughtful cards, beautiful flowers, and acts of kindness in memory of my beloved Mom, Patricia Ann Prestwood. Your love and support have been a beacon of hope for us.

In response to those who have kindly asked how they can further support us, we've established a GoFundMe campaign to honor Mom's life and legacy while also assisting with the unexpected burden of burial expenses.

Mom’s life was marked by resilience and steadfast faith. Despite life's ups and downs, she remained a beacon of encouragement, hope, and strength for others. Her battles taught her empathy, leading her to advocate for those facing abuse and battling addiction.

She had a profound affection for Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital's mission to treat and defeat childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases, and Harriet Tubman Women's Shelter, a year‐round, low‐barrier shelter serving up to 175 women each night and operator of a day program. These causes were dear to her heart and gave her a sense of purpose.

Any funds raised beyond our burial expense needs will be donated to these two charities in honor of Patricia's spirit of generosity and dedication to these causes.
