Anita funeral expenses.

Hey, my name is Jennifer and I'm starting this fundraiser to help my Mother- In-Law through this difficult time in her life. So, a little bit about what is going on. Anita went into the hospital right after Christmas with stomach pains. After multiple test and doctors reviewing the results, they found masses on her liver. Her preop diagnosis was left hepatic mass. Metastatic cancer. After doing a biopsy and more test they concluded and diagnosed her with Metastatic Small Cell Carcinoma as well as Cirrhosis of the Liver. We have learned quite a bit more about this type of cancer. It is very fast spreading and cannot be cured. It can only be managed with aggressive treatment. These obviously were shocking results as it would be to anyone. We have been to multiple doctors, multiple days in a row and it's extremely hard on her. She has finally gotten her port put in and is going today (1-19-24) to be cleared to start treatment. Her first treatment is scheduled for Tuesday January 23, 2024 and will take a minimum of four hours to complete. We will find out how often her treatments are, rather they are weekly or biweekly. Either way, it will be a lot on her. We can only hope and pray that her body will react in a positive way and accept the treatments so she can continue on living her life in whatever way makes her heart happy.
In the past 21 years that I have known Anita, she has always been on the go. She has always got to be doing something, rather it be working, cleaning, yard work or just spending time outdoors. She absolutely loves her family and her boys are her pride and joy. Spending time outside with her family is her ideal great day. She loves to fish as well as hunt for arrow heads. She's found quite a few that anyone would be lucky to have found in their life time. These treatments are extremely important to her well being and sanity.
As she and her loved ones adventure around this new life path it will definitely come with it's obstacles. Right now, the most important thing for her is not being a burden on someone she loves (which she isn't and never will be), but it's important to her.
So, she has asked if I could start a fundraiser to try and help offset some of the cost that are coming with all of this. She's wanting to help with cost of gas as much as she possibly can and wants to try to find a smaller vehicle like a car or honestly she wanting a mini van, that will in the long run help to be more manageable for her to get in and out of (as her balance isn't the best right now and climbing is not what she needs to be doing) as well as be more efficient on gas mileage. These are the two most important things she's constantly worrying about right now (which she shouldn't, but most definitely is).
If I can do anything to help her feel as though she is not in this alone and is not and never will be a burden then I will do whatever that takes. Even if that's starting a fundraiser for her.
Anita deserves to feel happiness and peace at a time like this and I know that if this can help make all this happen then it will help her tremendously.
Anita has a good heart and is a good person. She deserves all the love anyone could possibly show her.

Edited to add her treatment plan. She will be on a 4 day treatment plan which is pretty aggressive (we somewhat expected). Day 1 will be 4+hours of treatment, day 2 & 3 will be 1.5 hours of treatment and day 4 will be between 15-30 minute visit. This will occur every 3 weeks. We appreciate you all so very much!
