My name is brody and this is my story

My name is Brody, I’m a local lad from Woodley, Stockport and this is my story.

I started martial arts when I was just 3 years old.

I am now 9 years old, and these past 6 years of training and tournaments, have taught me discipline, respect and that you can achieve anything you want to, if you work hard and put your mind to it.

I have fought my way to where I am today, through my own hard work and dedication and with the love and support of my family and friends. I train in 6 classes a week, but sometimes up to 9 which is challenging, but I always put 100% effort into each session.

I do private 1-1s on top of my training to help and track my progress.

I also train in boxing with Olympian Robin Reid every Thursday, and I never miss a lesson.

My main coach is Jason Baird of Black Belt Academy, you may have seen him running around locally in his Spiderman costume, training himself, and bringing a smile to people’s faces.

He is a great role model to me and has tutored me for many years and has always pushed me in right direction, in order to help me achieve my goals.

My dream is to be in the Olympics one day, showcasing the sport I love and representing team GB !! How amazing would that be! With his help and hopefully yours, I know I will get there one day!

Last year in 2022, a fight squad was formed in my martial arts school, and to my surprise I was chosen to represent my club all around the UK, I have never looked back since!

Every day i feel I get a step closer to my dream.

So far, I’ve won Trophies for the Tiny Tiger of the Year Award 2020 and Most Resilient member 2022, and last year won a Bronze medal in the European finals which was incredible. I won Silver the year before for UK only, amongst others.

Now I have been given the opportunity to represent my club at the world qualifiers this year.

But the fee is £500 to cover all the expenses involved , and I would love your support to help get me there.
