My Nephew Was Mugged For His Bike in Friern Barnet
Donation protected
Hi I’m Jo.
My nephew was outside the Coop in Friern Barnet High Road yesterday afternoon 21 Sept. He was just cycling around on his bike he’s 14 years old. Some boys called him over and he was punched in the face, threatened with a knife and had his bike stolen from him.
My nephew has autism and has spent the past year selling his christening gifts, Xbox and all sorts of stuff he owned to buy the parts for this bike. He built the bike from scratch. It was a real labour of love for him and today he’s absolutely devastated.
I can’t understand why some kids are so horrible. I can only imagine their lives are so awful they think this type of behaviour is fine.
Attached is a picture of the bike and a picture of the boy who took it is on the far left of this picture. This is him and his friend mugging kids two weeks before.
I think he lives in Hornsey.
His mum is a single parent with four kids living on her own and every day is a real struggle. Her kids are constantly mugged, her 13 year old (his twin) was stabbed a few months ago and nearly died. They’ve had their clothes stolen from them and are scared to leave the house. This is north London 2024
I would love to be able to get the parts for my nephew to build a new bike,
we really appreciate any help
