My Paradise Family - Fire Victims
Hello Friends, Family, Loved ones.
My name is Ryan Richards and I am the Nephew, and Cousin of the Hordienko Family. My goal is to raise funds for this family as they focus on rebuilding their lives in the immediate community without the pressure of raising money on their own.
This past week my extended family who resides in Paradise, California suffered a great loss. Many in this country know that the majority of the town of Paradise was wiped out by the pillaging effects of the Camp Fire. The fire spread so quickly, there was only time to grab a change of clothes and run out the door. In fact it burned equivalent to a football field EVERY SECOND!
My Uncle Dan, lost his house and everything in it. On top of that, Dan had brain surgery just a couple years ago and has still been recovering, and the stressful results of the fire have caused a great deal of further pain and complications.
My Cousin, David who lived in a house with his good friends and Band, lost everything, including their music equipment, and suffered a total loss as a result.
My Cousin Carina also suffered a total loss on her possessions. At first her precious horse, Halo, ran off before there was time to rescue her out of the blaze, but praise be to God, Halo was found safe.
Beyond the loss of material possessions, the effects of one of the worst, if not the worst, fire in the history of California causes a great deal of Post Traumatic Stress. It will not be easy to re-establish a foundation for a normal life, since we do not know the future of the town of Paradise, careers, housing, etc.
Therefore, if you are able to contribute any amount to my extended family up North to re-establish a footing for life, it will be much appreciated. The funds will be used for basic life necessities, like food, clothing, temp housing etc. then beyond that, to replace the items that were lost.
We thank the Lord that His grace was sufficient to preserve their lives through this tragic event, and we recognize that material possessions can be replaced, but life cannot. Thank you for considering our plea to restart their lives with any amount you can afford.
Thank you!
Ryan
