Help my parents get back money stolen by scammers

Yesterday, my dad was scammed by someone posing as Virgin Media. While they seemed genuine, they asked for his bank details to offer compensation which the scammer claimed was due to technical issues caused by Virgin.
Of course, this was all a lie, and my dad knows it now, but his trusting and good nature was exploited by these scammers, and as a result, thousands of pounds were instantly taken from his bank account. He feels awful about it, but he never asks for help. He is not proud, but my father has always been one to help others without thinking about himself.
Last November my dad retired after providing for his family for over 50 years. There wasn't a day when I was without a meal, shelter over my head, or clothes on my back. He has always been a man I admire, and without him, even now, I simply wouldn't be here. I haven't lived at my parent's house in over 20 years, and my sister has also been away from the nest for a long time, too. What makes this whole tragedy even worse is how he is the sole carer for my mum, who at this moment, can't leave the house for too long due to her illness.
I do not want to turn this into a sob story, but I want to be honest with you. She has a condition known as Myalgic encephalomyelitis (or ME for short), which is described by the NHS as "a long-term (chronic) neurological condition that affects the nervous and immune systems. People with ME/CFS experience severe pain and fatigue associated with post-exertional malaise (PEM)."
In the flesh, I see her struggle to get up to use the bathroom. She requires a step to get in the car and her own house. She can't visit my house because the step is too high, and she hates she can't be the grandma to my kids she wants to be, even though she's incredible in all she does. Her memory is affected, her bones just don't work anymore, and her physical pain is insurmountable. What she has to endure is horrible to see, especially as her son, but my dad sees it every day. Yet despite it all, he still provides. He provides her constant care and love, and with this horrible event, it has affected him greatly.
It has affected them both greatly. All their savings are gone. They have nothing left, and with energy and food costs rising, this is the last thing they wanted. It pains me that I don't have enough money to help them as a son should, but when my family was burgled 4 years ago, it was the help of others that showed me the good in strangers, in friends and family, and why humanity is inherently good at its core.
You may not be able to give much. I understand. But if you can help at all, it would be greatly appreciated. All I want is for my parents to get the money that was stolen from them back. It isn't a lot of money, but it is a lot to them.
Thank you for reading, and God bless.
