My Puppy Got Hit By Two Cars - Need Vet Bill Help

Hello, my name is Erin and I am seeking assistance with my puppy's medical expenses. He has multiple contusions in his forearms and is currently being monitored for damages to his lungs (i.e. pneumothorax). As of now, he has difficulty standing up on his own and has low energy. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

During the evening of Friday, August 25 2023, my one-year-old puppy, Beeno, was struck by two cars. As he was going on his regular walk near Marshall Community Park, Beeno's leash snapped, causing him to run away from the crowded park in fear. Beeno suffers from social anxiety, which made this terrible situation even worse. Despite my efforts to catch Beeno, his startled state made it too difficult for me to keep up. What proceeded was a gut-wrenching hour of wandering the area aimlessly, calling out to my little boy that could have been lost forever.

Thankfully, I was able to find Beeno as witnesses in the area, including some very helpful kids, brought his whereabouts to my attention. When I arrived, Beeno was lying on his side, bloodied and unable to move. The witnesses had informed me that a car was speeding when Beeno had run into the road. Despite the efforts of the witnesses to slow traffic and warn drivers of a dog on the road, the drivers kept driving. After managing to get up the first time, Beeno was struck by a second vehicle. Both drivers drove away without remorse.

I quickly got Beeno into my vehicle and drove him to the nearest emergency vet. Although I am happy that he is getting the care that he urgently needs, I am deeply stressed about the expenses. Due to my status as a student, paying for his treatment on my own is incredibly daunting. That is why I have come on here to ask for help.
